Do you remember big shoulders and power-suits? Were you one of those people who exercised Flashdance style in spandex leotards, leggings and leg warmers? Did you wear Ray-Bans over your bright blue eye shadow and have as big a spring in your step as the corkscrew perm in your hair? Do you remember CDs being invented and Space Invaders taking over our games arcades?
No Scrubs is the dance party for people who lived and still love dancing to 80s and 90s old skool Rnb, rap and hip-hop music.
No Scrubs promises a cheesy, nostalgic and non-stop night of amazing tunes from DJ Hip Hop Hoe, DJ Charlie Villas and DJ Hamo, as well as some special guest booty poppin' performances throughout the evening.
There are plenty of surprises on the night, including special guest performances at 10pm, 11pm and midnight that will have you reliving those memorable years of the big, bold and bodaciously awesome!
Tickets are $25 at the door or can be pre-purchased here and all profits will go to Habitat For Humanity, the world's number one not-for-profit provider of housing for low-income families living in poverty.
No Scrubs Dance Party is being held at:
The Red Rattler Theatre 6 Faversham St. Marrickville
Doors open at 8pm.
If you're not able to make it to the dance party you can still donate here. Your support helps Habitat for Humanity to continue providing people in need with safe, secure housing and the means to support themselves. Habitat for Humanity is also involved in training and giving local communities the expertise and knowledge to share with others. It's a 'pay it forward' model and the beginning of generational change.
Get along to the No Scrubs Dance Party and dance to make a difference.
