No Gain No Love is a South Korean drama about a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, navigating the complexities of life and relationships while pursuing dreams.

Son Hae-yeong is an emerging marketer at an early childhood education company, Kkulbee Education. Her mother used to be a foster mum, and children from unfortunate backgrounds come and go into their foster home. Hae-yeong always feels that she never gets enough attention from her mum and her mum is always busy with her foster children. This childhood experience makes Hae-yeong have trouble maintaining a healthy relationship, including with her current boyfriend who also working at the same company.

Hae-yeong at the end ditched her boyfriend who had been in relation with her for 6 months. Hae-yeong's ex-boyfriend then moved along and even planned to tie the knot with a woman that also working in the same company as Hae-yeong.

Later on Hae-yeong found out that there was no room to move up and get a promotion in her company as a single employee. Being cornered, Hae-yeong chose a shortcut to get a partner to get a promotion at her company by putting her name on an online dating website. But still, she couldn’t find any man for her. Feeling hopeless, Hae-yeong asked a shop attendant, Kim Ji-uk, from a quicky mart where she always buys her cigarettes to be her fake husband. Surprisingly he agreed to Hae-yeong request with one condition that Hae-yeong will look after his little kitten called Baby.

Hae-yeong found out that Ji-uk was born out of wedlock and he doesn’t know who his father is. Ji-uk’s mum ran away when he was just a young boy, and Ji-uk was raised by her grandma. Didn’t they know that Ji-uk is the son of the Kkulbee Education CEO. Even more, Ji-uk is hiding a dark secret from Hae-yeong, that he was one of her mum's foster children.

This 12-episode South Korean drama stars Shin Min-a as Son Hae-yeong and Kim Young-dae as Kim Ji-uk (also in I'll Go to You When the Weather is Nice ).
