Grand Opening of the Nixon Park Multi Use Arena and Gym
Just imagine on a lovely Sunday in the winter, here in Brisbane, you decide to take the family for a picnic. And at that picnic Grandma and Grandpa, the cousins, brothers, Aunts and Uncles all gather. But where could you go?
The Multi Use Games Arena located at 929 Oxley Road, houses a combined soccer court, basketball court, net ball court, net for volleyball, badminton or whatever you can dream up to play there. It is fenced and it is large enough to share the space with others.
Then there is the separate gym area. It is designed so you can do over 200 different exercises, meaning you can come back every day and work on a different muscle group. It also has QR codes that are linked to a personalized fitness tracker that can guide you on exercise as well as nutrition, and you can do it all outside, in the park, where you can bring your kids.
There are new barbeque areas complete with tables and shaded spaces so you can be out of the sun in the hot Queensland summer. Maybe bring some lawn chairs with you on the day as they are hoping for a nice size crowd for the opening of the park.
During the week you can come with a mom's group, allowing you to enjoy time with your friends and the little ones, or come solo, go for a run, then stop by and do a work out.
The construction fences have now been removed so you can check it out before the day if you so choose but you won't want to miss out on the added bonus.
Also on Aug. 6th, Dogs on Patrol will be part of the lineup, which will include all things doggie, including groomers, pet supplies, walkers and sitters as well as a host of other things. You can come meet your local Police, as well as the folks from the Mt. Ommaney/Oxley Ridge Neighborhood Watch and learn how you can help the watch in your neighborhood, while you are out dog walking.
