At this year's EB GAMES EXPO, Nintendo had the honour of staging on display its upcoming gaming console, the Wii U.

The Wii U is the sequel console to the Wii, and as all sequels must be a slight improvement than the first, Nintendo have outdone themselves by creating the ultimate Nintendo platform and raising the potential of the Wii to exceptionally even higher level.

Players gained and insight into what the new console offered, as well as gained an overall opinion of the console before placing pre-orders before its initial release date scheduled for November 30th, 2012.

The staging of the Wii U also clarified confusion about whether or not it is a portable gaming device? Unfortunately I have to say it isn't.

So what's got gamers wanting to buy this unique console? Well, obviously besides that it has the same quality graphics as the PS3 and X-BOX 360 console and also has Assassins Creed 3 and Injustice: War Among Gods scheduled to be released on this platform, which has no differences in its gameplay graphics to the PS3 or X-BOX versions. Plus it has other unique abilities used through its wireless tablet controller.

The WII U uses a portable wireless tablet that corresponds with the console.

It has a built LCD screen and Gyro Sensor which allows you to control gameplay by tilting it forwards, backwards and to the sides, similar to PS3's Sixaxis controls.

Gameplay can also be played using the touch screen controls as well as simultaneously using the button controls distributed among the tablet.

Another unique thing about the Wii U is that it can be used as an off screen and onscreen console. So if by some unexpected reason a family member wants you to get off the T.V, no biggy, just leave the console on let your family member watch T.V while you continue gameplay off the built in LCD screen, brilliant isn't it?

Gamers will also be delighted that the console also comes with its own portable charger, which is good as you don't have to by a separate charging dock and battery.

This is truly a great step for Nintendo as they have a unique console that can compete X-BOX and PS3 consoles, as well as still have its own Wii uniqueness making it have the best of both worlds.
