An event celebrating fun for all ages where you will experience the wonderful games and worlds of Nintendo. It is being held at the International Convention Centre, Sydney over one weekend.

Registration opens 17 June for this free event taking place in Sydney.


Nintendo consoles, video games, Mario and Luigi, and later, Nintendo Switch were staples in our house when our children were growing up. This was the case for many households around Australia I'm sure. Now, Nintendo is presenting Nintendo Live 2024 at Sydney's International Convention Centre, a free in-person event for fans who have experienced the games and worlds of Nintendo. This is for everyone, whether you are familiar with or new to Nintendo's products.

The fun will start as soon as you enter with Nintendo Switch gameplay, photos with Mario and Luigi as well as a pop-up My Nintendo Store selling lots of popular merchandise. In addition to this, family-friendly activities will keep everyone entertained. There will also be a host of live stage events with Mario Ambassador, Charles Martinet making special daily appearances.


“Nintendo Live has brought smiles to people of all ages in Japan, the United States, and other countries since its debut, and we’re excited to now bring this unique event to Australia,” said Nintendo Australia Managing Director, Takuro Horie. “We look forward to welcoming family, friends and the wider Nintendo community to Nintendo Live 2024 SYDNEY, to share in and experience the unique games, characters and worlds of Nintendo Switch.”

Go to the Nintendo website on June 17 at 9.00 am AEST to register. You can register up until June 30 at 11.59 pm AEST.

Online qualifiers for these tournaments began registering with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on 9 June, where the top competitors secured their tickets to Nintendo Live 2024 Sydney, and had the opportunity to compete against the best gamers on the big stage. However, the fantastic, all-age event, Nintendo Live 2024, is still to happen on Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September 2024 from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm AEST. Once you have secured your tickets by registering on the 17 to 30 June and know the date you are allocated, head to Halls 3 & 4 at the International Convention Centre, Sydney and enjoy all the fun with Nintendo Switch and more.
