Freelance writer from Brisbane exploring the city and surrounds to find the best coffee

With the closure of Belesis restaurant last year, plus the fire that claimed the row of shops and cafes next door on Old Cleveland Rd, Coorparoo residents were feeling the loss of two local institutions.
Luckily, the opening of Ninebar + Kitchen - by Belesis owner Daniel Bellas' son Mark, and his partner Sam- has revived an otherwise dreary area of Coorparoo.
Nine Bar Kitchen, Coorparoo
I visited Ninebar + Kitchen on Sunday morning for brunch with friends. The entire building has been renovated and now looks open, bright and cheery with white flooring and walls. The food menu is extensive and includes a variety of kid friendly and adult beverages. Our table meals including bacon and eggs, French toast and Bircher muesli and there was not much conversation to be had, always the sign of a good meal.
New interior of cafe, bright and cheery
The service was efficient and cheery and for convenience, there is car parking out the back, wheelchair access and private rest rooms on site. The alfresco dining area was covered, sun safe and the cafe is also dog friendly, so many people brought their four legged friends to their brunch date.
I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast meal, and dining experience and will be returning regularly to Ninebar + Kitchen. Their cocktail menu is one I'll definitely be exploring at a future date. It's a great new addition to the Coorparoo dining scene.
