On the jetty itself, you can see lots of people fishing. You can catch good-sized estuary rock cods, blue salmon, small sharks, squid, trevally and queenies. Some people say that the rocky outskirts to the left of Nightcliff Jetty provide the best spots for fishing. Dont forget to check the tides before preparing your fishing gear. If you are lucky, your catch can be your lunch or your dinner and you can cook it using one of BBQ tables that provided by the City Council near the jetty.
