Night Time Fiona is a Brisbane-based rock band that has been gigging around Brisbane for a while now.

I first saw them play one of their early gigs in 2011 at Emergenza , an annual global music festival for unsigned bands, which is hosted at Hi-Fi Bar, West End. Then I caught a stripped-down two-piece playing at Room 60 , Kelvin Grove, and most recently, the full-force of the four-piece band at Beetle Bar , on upper Roma St.

The gig at Beetle Bar, opened with frontman Ben Bolland performing solo with just an acoustic guitar and a gorgeous tune, and I have to admit, I really love his voice. The rest of the band, Andrew Marshall playing lead (electric) guitar, Phil Baz on bass and Jace Cone on drums, joined him to bring the fullness of rock'n'roll. I've been listening to their five-track debut EP Ghosted Faces which I picked up when I last saw them play, and at the gig they played a mixture of old tunes, tracks from the EP, and some more recently written material. I particularly liked a track (I didn't catch the name) which was a gorgeous rock love ballad (or is that love rock ballad?), and a reworked version of the first track from their demo EP.
