Successful night photography can be as rewarding as it is challenging for the beginner.

This 3 hour course will teach you how to take beautiful photographs at night, and includes lessons on nightscapes, low light portraiture, and light painting - a fun new field of night photography.

Hosted by a friendly professional you will be taken over 3 hours to a range of different sites in a small group and learn the tricks of the trade, all whilst creating some beautiful photographs of your very own.

This walking photography class for beginners will cover both composition and more technical aspects:

Composition:

  • Rule of Thirds

  • Aperture
  • Shutter Speed
  • ISO
  • Long Exposures and Night Photography
  • Light Painting and Drawing
  • Moving Subjects
  • Tripod vs Handheld

  • The primary host is Paul Dielemans. He has a friendly and patient disposition and teaches in an approach focusing on hands-on learning and experimenting which is excellent for night photography. He has his own business, photographing architecture, utilising the same skills required for low light/night photography to photograph both built and natural environments. Using clear language and showing by example, Paul can assist you in fusing a practical level of camera usage with new knowledge to capture amazing night scenes.

    The second host is Anita Bromley. With over four years experience teaching photography, Anita is known for her friendly approachable manner and her unique ability to connect and relate to people. This compliments her teaching style, encouraging play, experimentation and most importantly to simply have fun with photography.

    Anita has hands on experience within her own Photography business photographing a wide variety of subjects from portraiture through to landscapes and low light/night photography. Using simple language and cutting out complicated jargon Anita will have you leaving with a greater understanding of your camera and the knowledge to capture amazing photographs.

    What to bring:
