Gather your friends together for dancing fun at The Ball
It is archeologically documented that paintings around 9,000 years old depicting dance have been found at the Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka in India and c3300BC in Egyptian tombs, so the art of dance is not something new or even evil as early religions believed. Today many cultures still observe the use of dance in their rituals, traditions and healing ceremonies. Even martial arts, cheerleading, figure-skating, marching bands, synchronised swimming are sometimes said to have dance-life qualities.

Having advanced over the centuries there are numerous dance routines, styles and choices for everyone to enjoy the movement of music through their veins and body. One such style is Ballroom. Ballroom Dancing is said to have originated from the royal courts in the 16th century with some of its technique coming through from folk dancing.
Ballroom dancing today is an elegant and dramatic sport in which competition techniques of creating the correct footwork, body and head movements, combined with an "in tune" time to the music defines the flow of each dance. Many people prefer the art of social dancing where enjoyment is assured, new friendships are forged and steps learned, while still receiving exercise for healthy living.
