With the oncoming of spring and daylight savings, Sydney begins to bustle out into the open with events, festivals and celebrations. The month of October is a month long celebration of food as a part of Crave Sydney International Food festival. Signature events include Breakfast on the Bridge and Night Noodle markets among many others.

Starting on the 11th of October, for 2 weeks, Hyde park will be transformed into an exciting Asian hawker market with more than 40 food stalls, 3 bars and a beer garden. There will also be a Middle-Eastern themed area within the markets.

This was one of the most popular events on 2009 with more than 120,000 atendees. With extended daylight timings, this location will soon prove to be an after work favourite destination. The event caters to the Asian/Thai/Chinese/Japanese cuisine. There will also be live asian style entertainment with chinese dragon dancers performing in and around the tables. The food will be in plenty and priced reasonably.

Entry is free and visitors are welcome to bring picnic blankets to Hyde Park and take in the great atmosphere, weather and food. With the lovely Hyde park backdrop and the fairylights all around, it's one of the best ways to spend a spring evening.
