The original domestic goddess live in Melbourne
Celebrity cook, and the woman who introduced the term 'domestic goddess' to the world, Nigella Lawson, is undertaking a worldwide promotional tour to introduce her most recent cookbook to fans all across the globe. And her legion of Melbourne fans won't be disappointed because she has scheduled an 'in conversation' event in Melbourne in January.

The charismatic Lawson, a noted TV star, cook and author of a host of popular cookbooks (including How to be a Domestic Goddess, Nigellissima and Nigella Christmas) will be the guest of Fairfax Good Food, who most recently brought you the fabulous Melbourne Good Food Month.

The interview and conversation will be conducted by the multi-talented Australian food writer, food curator, recipe columnist, cookbook author and restaurant critic, Jill Dupleix, who famously says of herself, "I cook, I eat, I drink, I write about it." Sounds like the dream job.

"I'm thrilled Nigella is coming and very much looking forward to sitting down to talk with her," Ms Dupleix said. "She's a fantastic conversationalist - intelligent and witty, self-deprecating and very honest. She's had an amazing life and has a lot to talk about. Of course many people don't hear any of it, they're just soaking her in, because she really is the most beautiful creature to look at!"

Lawson, despite having no formal training in cookery, is one of the most well-known and popular TV cooking show presenters in history. She is known for her relaxed, playful presentation style, the technical simplicity of her food and her insistence that cooking should be about fun and family and that food should celebrate life. The book she is promoting on this tour, Simply Nigella - Feel Good Food, contains such delightful offerings as 'Thai Noodles with Cinnamon and Prawns' and 'Miso Salmon, Cauliflower & Cashew Nut Curry'.

Nigella Lawson in Conversation will not only introduce foodies to Nigella, but will also include sales of her new book and opportunities for book signings.
