NIDA Open will be at QACI, giving drama enthusiasts the opportunity to explore their creative side and engage in a variety of drama short courses.

With extensive backgrounds in theatre, TV and film, NIDA tutors deliver enriching learning experiences in every class, by catering to the varied artistic interests and skills of their students.

Whether you're a future star of the stage or just have an interest in performing, NIDA Open can help you star in your own creative journey.

 

  • Dramatic Writing Essentials

    Discover what makes effective characterisation and a good plot. Stretch your imagination and learn how to create original scripts.

    Dates & times: Sat 23–Sun 24 Sep, 10am–5pm

  • Directing Essentials

    Learn how to create a director's concept that communicates your interpretation of the play and unifies the elements of a production. Understand the processes of preparing for rehearsal and the relationship of story, design and performance.

  • TV Presenting Essentials

    Develop a presentation persona as you practise on-camera technique and build vocal and physical presence. Explore interview techniques and present lifestyle pieces to camera.

  • Screen Acting Techniques

    Develop an understanding of screen acting techniques and explore their application to short scenes from contemporary film and television. Discover your on-screen presence and gain confidence in performing truthfully on camera.
