It is without a doubt that NIDA is Australia's leading institute for education and training in the performing arts, and most sought after for those who want to follow their artistic and theatrical dreams. They offer an extensive program of public short courses for adults and children through NIDA Open and their highly successful corporate training program, NIDA Corporate .
Keeping its finger on the pulse of the rapidly evolving global arts and culture environment, there's a broad range of accredited courses across a variety of disciplines, including graduate degrees, undergraduate degrees and diplomas.

Open Day is a great opportunity to be involved in backstage tours (leaves every half hour form the information table in the Foyer), alumni and course talks, free shows, NIDA Open classes and more. The schedule is jam packed to showcase everything that makes NIDA one of the top 10 drama schools in the world . To attend Open Day on Saturday 15 June 2019 from 9am to 4pm at 215 Anzac Parade, Kensington, REGISTER for your FREE tickets now , to secure your spot! CLICK HERE for the full schedule of events.

Congratulations to the Class of 2018 who just graduated a few days ago. Hear from NIDA graduates who will return to share stories of their experience on a discussion panel. Other talks include course talks for BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) on the technical side, as well as acting, costume, design, properties and objects. With the Masters (MFA - Master of Fine Arts) in sight, attend the course talk in directing, writing, cultural leadership, design and voice talk. The VET (Vocational Diploma) course talk will cover musical theatre, stage and screen performance, specialist make-up services and live production and technical services.

Your Alumni Panels consists of performers, designers and makers, creative leaders and technical practitioners and managers to give you the full gamut of what goes on behind the scenes for your information. While you're there, jump in to a NIDA Open Class and give it a try. There are one-hour intro classes for all ages. If you're not a performer, the course talks and Q&As of the non-performance courses are available in the morning and afternoon. An interactive session will teach you the ropes of taking your ideas from page to screen in a 60 min workshop led by Master of Fine Arts Course Leaders. If make-up is your thing, don't miss the demo where you observe Dip Make-Up Services students at work in the Nancy Fairfax Foyer from 9am to 3pm.

Celebrating 60 years of history, learn more about Australia's leading dramatic arts institution at an archival presentation running at 11.30am and 2pm on level 3. You can see NIDA students in action by watching a student production and be privy to how students collaborate on productions. Performing at the Studio Theatre, Playhouse, Parade Theatre, Reg Grundy Studio and Space, watch 75min plus full-on shows like Meat Eaters, Pool (no water), Robertro Zucco, Closer, and Love.

You could also visit the Rodney Seaborn Library and buy playscripts, theatre and drama textbooks at the book sale from 10am to 4pm. Be sure to have that schedule of events firmly committed to photograph memory as there's so many interesting events on the day that you just won't want to leave.
