This summer, NIDA is launching 'Greening Your Arts Practice', a 100% online short course designed to empower performing arts professionals with sustainable skills and practices.

This is your opportunity to shape the future of stage and screen!
As part of NIDA's commitment to being a leading sustainability educator in the creative and performing arts, 'Greening Your Arts Practice' introduces practical strategies to reduce waste and energy use in productions, allowing creatives to take the important step towards an eco-friendlier performing arts practice and make a lasting impact on their productions and the planet.

+ Who is This Course For?
This introductory course has been designed with a range of performing arts professionals in mind, including Producers, General Managers, Production Managers, Directors, Designers, Makers, Actors, Stage Managers, Backstage technicians, Drama teachers, and independent event creators.
+ Course Components
Discover easy-to-apply sustainability techniques that can be used to reduce the carbon footprint of live events and inspire environmental leadership.
Learn to identify different areas of waste and energy within your control and develop practical measures to reduce your carbon footprint.
Write a tailored 'green plan' to implement in your creative practice.
+ Delivery
The course is delivered online via Zoom in 2-hour sessions twice weekly over 4 weeks (8 sessions in total).
