Nicholson Street Public School in Balmain East is having their 30th Annual Halloween Festival, this Saturday 28th October from 2pm to 7pm.

This famous community event, organised by the P & C Association includes market stalls, rides, and the entire school is transformed into a Halloween extravaganza. Activities start from just $2 and funds raised go towards the school.

The festival includes kid-favourites:
The Monstrous Mega Drop slide $3-$4
The Box Maze $4
The Duck Pond $2
A Chocolate Wheel $4
The Cake Walk $3
The Lil Shop of Horrors $2-$10
The Haunted House $4

All the attractions are kid-friendly so nothing too scary and there are multiple ride options which work out cheaper. You can also pick-up second-hand kids books from $1 from the Horror Stories stall and custom Halloween decorations from $3 to $5 at the Tombola stall.

Everyone is encouraged to dress up, so don't be surprised to see little witches, ghouls, ghosts and goblins roaming the streets. Whilst the event is a highlight for pupils of the Nicholson St School, friends of the school are also welcome to attend.

You can find the Halloween Festival at:
Nicholson Street Public School
23 Nicholson St. Balmain East

Good to know.
Parking in Balmain East is scarce at best. You can catch a ferry from Circular Quay to Balmain and the school is a short walk up the hill. Bus #442 from Canterbury goes along Darling St to Balmain east, as does bus #433 from Millers Point (via Central Station and Glebe).

An entry fee applies. Cash is easiest on the night and have plenty of small notes and coins for all the attractions and games.
