NGV's Industry Connections for Teens events is a good way for young people to get a preview of what the future looks like in the arts industry. It's a program tailored to connect young people with art and artists at the Gallery. With ages 13 to 17 in mind, gain special access to the NGV for their September and October 2020 series as follows. All events are FREE, but you must REGISTER your interest.

First up is the connection with Gammin Threads Industry on Tuesday 15 September from 5-6pm. Register HERE. The speaker for this event is Tahnee Edwards, a Melbourne based Aboriginal designer with her own label ' Gammin Threads'. It's chillwear and accessories for people who live a colourful life, with respect and empowering women as its priority.

Tuesday 6 Oct from 5-6pm brings speaker Simone LeAmon to the floor on Contemporary Design. Register HERE. One of Australia's foremost professionals, Simone has worked for more than two decades as an artist, industrial designer, curator, industry consultant and university lecturer. She's passionate about elevating the value of design that enriches people, society, culture and environment.

Eugenia Lim is of Chinese-Singaporean origin and works across video, performance and installation. Exploring how national identities can cut, divide and bond our globalised world is her niche. Lim's event runs on Tuesday 27 October from 5-6pm and you can register HERE. Be sure to follow all links for more information and event instructions.

The NGV's website is a playground for art lovers. You can buy the latest issues of their MAGAZINE, or you could simply access past issues for some interesting reading. If you're more visual, there are VIRTUAL TOURS which are amazing and takes you to every corner of the rooms. You can also enjoy SELF-GUIDED EXPERIENCES or simply support the NGV with donations. The Arts needs your help in these uncertain times, so we can keep on enjoying all it brings to our lives.
