Come January 2022 families can enjoy the NGV Kids Summer Festival. Running from 15-23 January 2022 there's 9 days of activities for children and their families. There are artist-led workshops, performances and more. There's something for everyone. You'll find the full program here . You can select your location be it at the NGV International, The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, Fed Square, an external or virtual location.

The following are the workshops and activities you'll find at this Festival.

Welcome to Country - Opening the Summer Fest, are representatives from the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation

Paper Hats with Architecture For Kids Summer Festival - Inspires young architects to look closely at design around them through creative thinking and construction workshops

Big & Bold with Haus of Dizzy - Make your own bling with a self-confessed Queen of Bling, Wiradjuri designer Kristy Dickinson of Haus of Dizzy

Play Together with Playgroups Victoria - Drop-by sessions for kids and for parents to discover a range of strategies to help them lead their own inclusive playgroup for children of all abilities

Family Movie : Bee Movie - Barry the bee is determined to make everyone see how important bees are to our world

Relaxed Sessions: The Gecko and the Mermaid - A visit with reduced sensory stimuli for those who need it eg autism, disability etc. All ages welcome

Drop-by Drawing - Draw alongside some of NGV's most treasured artworks, led by local artists

NGV Teens: Styling A Look with Aurie Indianna - If you're 13-18 and love fashion and styling, gain insight into what happens behind the scenes when putting together a look
