If swinging through an urban jungle gets your adrenaline pumping, then Next Level High Rope Adventure Park in Maroochydore is the perfect place to get your Tarzan on!

Next Level features 16 ziplines with some as long as 130m over Cornmeal Creek, a 22m viewing deck and a choice of 7 circuits containing over 145 obstacles. It's the perfect way to challenge yourself if you are afraid of heights or if you want to step outside your comfort zone. It's also a great family activity for kids from 6 years of age, but it is especially good for adventurous tweens and teens.

Wondering what to get for your teen's birthday? I did exactly that and booked one circuit for my 15 year old son and his Dad. Booking online is the best option since they don't charge you a booking fee and you get the e-waiver sent straight to your email.

It is best to park in the carpark opposite Woolworths when you arrive at Sunshine Plaza. Head towards Cornmeal Creek and follow the arrows on the signage posts to get to Next Level. Firstly, you will be asked to put on the safety gear (gloves, harness and helmet) and then watch an instructional video.

My son chose to do a medium level circuit called Maroochy Mayhem which is 12m high and includes 3 ziplines and tests your balancing skills. Later on, he said it was too easy and was keen to try a harder level next time. Well, he definitely doesn't get his thirst for adventure from me! I was happy to take care of my other two children and watch from the ground.

Every now and then you could hear adults yelling "Woo hoo!" as they went down the ziplines. There were lots of families with young children too. Everyone seemed so happy to be up there. One person was caught bouncing on the ropes by the instructor. That's something you are not allowed to do. Overall, the experience was extremely positive - ten out of ten. The only negative aspect to this experience was waiting for your turn. If you are more adept than the person in front of you, then you will have to be super patient.
