Event:
Women, Peace and Security
ASPI's Women in Defence and Security Network invites all to attend a conversation with Miki Jacevic to discuss the second National Action Plans (NAPs) on Women, Peace and Security. This discussion will be hosted by ASPI's Head of International Program, Lisa Sharland. While Trish Bergin, who is the First Assistant Secretary, Office for Women, for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet will open the discussion.

The guest, Miki Jacevic is the Vice-Chair of Inclusive Security, an organisation that focuses on transforming the discussion on war and peace to include women's meaningful participation. It is through his work that he leads efforts to promote lasting change around the world by developing National Action Plans that ensure women's leadership is not only peace and but security affairs. These National Actions Plans are used around the globe, as a tool to help governments make measurable progress on women's inclusion and help society hold them accountable.

After working closely with close to 40 governments in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America on projects ranging from the development of a plan to evaluating the impact of a current plan, this is sure to be an interesting conversation!

A drinks and canape reception will conclude the event.
