For the history buff & rose lovers
Immerse yourself in the feeling of life in the early 1900s. The buildings to be viewed include post-WWII houses, a former hospital and police station, early-style homes and a cottage, Oak Lodge featuring Gothic forms and inter-war houses.

Newtown attraction
The Glennie School in Herries Street, an additional attraction to the walk.

Newtown Park's State Rose Garden may proudly bear its name, with an extensive variety of roses in bloom most of the year and charming historic architecture. In the past, the park hosted military, cultural and sporting activities including visits by the US Navy for 'R & R'.

The walk may take over an hour to complete.

A brochure can be picked up at the Toowoomba Visitor Information Centre.
