Newmarch Gallery (formerly Prospect Gallery) located at 128 Prospect Road, Prospect is operated by the City of Prospect as a unique high quality, nationally recognised exhibition space.
Running a diverse exhibition program the Gallery reflects as a contemporary public exhibition space with a longstanding community focus. The gallery focuses on exhibitions from solo artists to group shows across a range of media, supporting both emerging and established artists.
Newmarch Gallery's 2021 season is an eclectic variety of art and art forms which is set to delight and inspire all types of art lovers.

1000 Ways to Rainbow by Eleanor Zecchin from 29 January (6 pm) to 28 February 2021 uses the metaphorical readings of rainbows to explore the inexhaustible potential of watercolour with the discipline and pursuit of an optimistic mind.

Come along on 1 March 2021 to
Meet the Maker: An Artist Talk with Karl Meyer. Join Karl for a candid discussion on the process and inspiration behind Prospect's 'Threads in Motion'. Two sessions are available at 5 pm and 6.30 pm.

Mother's Ilk will launch on Friday 5 March 2021 from 6 pm to 7.30 pm and will be on display until 1 April 2021. This exhibition brings together the works of a range of contemporary male artists who pair with their mothers to combine and compare each other's creative forces.

As part of the Adelaide Fringe, Newmarch Gallery is offering the
Prospect Art Walk from 11 to 13 March 2021. Starting from the Gallery you will go on a two hour walk along Prospect Road. You will be guided to visit a variety of venues where you will encounter DJs, artists, music acts, exhibitions, buskers, live art, interactive activities, food and drinks and a whole heap of fun. Walks commence at 7 pm, 7.30 pm, 8 pm and 8.30 pm. Tickets are $20 full price, $17 concession and free for those with a companion card. Your ticket includes a glass of wine or beer on arrival, an interactive map and a fun night out on Prospect Road.

April will see the gallery resplendent with the imagination of artist Mark Niehus and his
Backbone exhibition. Niehus' array of characters find themselves in diverse situations in an exhibition of projections, penned elucidations and blindly knowing markings on plywood. Backbone will be available from 9 April (6 pm) to 9 May 2021.

Local Schools Art Exhibition will display the work of students from the City of Prospect's primary and priory schools from 14 May (6 pm) to 13 June 2021.

They Paved Paradise exhibition, where she demonstrates her interpretation of the cost of creating a vibrant and exciting local area and detrimental effect it has on local wildlife, old native plant-filled gardens and the removal of character homes.

Anti-type – KAB101. This abstraction of written words is a multi-contortion of encrypted letters and the building of type into symbols.

December sees the Gallery celebrate the longest running portrait prize in South Australia with the
11th Prospect Portrait Prize Exhibition. This non-acquisitive juried exhibition of contemporary portraits in any medium is sure to delight from 10 December (6 pm) through to 25 January 2022.
All exhibitions are free, however, some events may require registration.
