Grab your pen and paper
Prologue: It's the year 2013 and as the first autumn leaves begin to turn rust in colour and fall from the trees, an air of anticipation is growing amongst the people of Newcastle. They know what's coming, and it's big. So get out a pen and paper and write this one down.
The Newcastle Writer's Festival will be held this April 5th-7th at a range of inner-city venues. With over 50 talented writers covering genres like crime-fiction, poetry, memoirs, history and romance, there's 50 shades of everything, for everyone.
And if perhaps listening to real writers sharing their enthusiasm and passion for the written word still hasn't inspired you to start your own novel, interactive workshops are also being offered to help equip budding writers with the tools they will need to give Charles Dickens a run for his money.
