Participate In Seaside Scavenge, Fun With Sustainability
On Saturday 12th February 2022, the City of Newcastle's Community Support Grants Program is hosting Newcastle Seaside Scavenge. This event has not been in Newcastle since 2016, so it is sure to entice a large crowd.

The concept of the event is for every ten pieces of litter you collect and sort, you are rewarded with one trash token to use at the pop-up market on the day, which includes stalls of pre-loved clothes, books, toys and more. There will also be talks and workshops from local eco-change makers advising hot tips and tricks on how to live more sustainably, a plastic micro-recycling demonstration and information on how we can care for our oceans. We are all trying to reduce our waste, and this is a great event to kick start your role in sustainability.

Commencing from 11.00am through to 3.00pm you will be accompanied on your Scavenge with live music and as the day is sponsored by some local legends, your litter haul may land you a prize.

To join you need to register through Eventbrite and as always, if you are feeling unwell, please stay home. The location is Dixon Park, Ocean Street, Merewether. This is a FREE event.
