People are cheering and banging on the glass, the air is cold and atmosphere thrilling. The lights are turned down as the national anthem is sung, the lights come on, and the game begins. Your head is constantly flicking from left to right, up and down, whistles are being blown and punches are being thrown.

This is a snapshot of the experience of attending a Newcastle North Stars ice hockey game.
