I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.
New Year's Eve 2016 celebrations in the city of Newcastle will be based between Worth Place Park and Harbour Square in the Honeysuckle Precinct. There will be three entertainment stages, at Worth Place, you will able to watch future stars from Rosie's School of Rock or go to Harbour Square to catch a live broadcast of KOFM. A Splashdown Water Show will be on on the harbour and entertainers from Shrek The Musical Jnr will be roaming the area. Activities for children will be in the Kid Zone at Worth Place and food and drink will be available from various stalls and trucks.
Honeysuckle will be buzzing, as the local hotels and restaurants will be holding special parties and dinners and Newcastle Museum will host a program of free family-friendly fun.
The celebrations will culminate with a spectacular firework display launched from Dyke point. You will be able to ooh and aah to your heart's content and be home in time to watch Sydney Harbour light up in the comfort of your lounge room.
