It's well known that Novocastrians love their exercise, so how would you like the opportunity to exercise with like-minded people on the beautiful Newcastle foreshore and give something back to your community at the same time? You can, at the Newcastle Charity Bootcamp 2014, where all funds raised go to John Hunter Children's Hospital.
Newcastle Charity Bootcamp was established by WellFit Personal Training in April 2012. Since then it has raised thousands of dollars for the hospital and become an annual fixture on the calendar for many of Newcastle's leading personal trainers from various studios & gyms who come along to help run the energetic group exercise sessions.
Registering You can register online here. Bootcamp attendance is a donation of $17.50, which you can pay online once registered, or in person on the day. Your own fundraising page will be set up once you've registered, so you can easily email friends, family and colleagues for sponsorship support. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
The Fitness Sessions
Personal trainers will run a variety of workouts that will cater for all fitness levels. You can attend for whatever length of time suits your needs from 30 minutes to 2 hours. All of our trainers are fully qualified and hold current Senior first aid. There will also be St John officers available on the day.
Note: If you have any medical conditions that will effect you during exercise, please consult with your doctor prior to attending. You will be required to complete a Pre-activity readiness questionnaire at the event.
What to Bring Comfortable clothing for exercise, a hat, drink bottle, towel, enclosed shoes and waterproof jacket (depending on the weather). You can purchase bottled water on site and sunscreen will be available at the meeting point.
