Only 16 years old (it first started in 1995), the New York City Expo has become one of the most interesting of the street fair events in New York City. This year, the event will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2011, from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

3rd Avenue, from 23rd to 34th Street is transformed into an exhibition and display site for over 350 vendors who want to show you their authentic and ethnic food, arts and crafts, and other items. In addition, displays from over 50 cultural, non-profit, and government entities, as well as those sponsored by corporations are included.

Admission is free; you'll only need to bring money if you're planning to buy anything. This means you and your family can enjoy a fun, exciting event without spending a lot (unless you want to, that is.) If you do decide to buy something, you'll certainly have a lot of choices.
