The Rocks is the place to party this New Year's Eve in Sydney with the ArgyleTavern going 24-carat gold in its celebration. Kissing goodbye to 2016 sees plenty of action at this favourite dining establishment with 5 bars over 2 levels and a dance floor coming alive with partygoers.

The golden-themed event will see the whole venue dripping in gold in an over-the-top production featuring confetti cannons, golden mermaids, stilt walkers, dancers and roaming performers on roller skates. Epic beats and golden vibes will come to you from several DJ's – including Brooklyn, Andy Murphy, Chivalry, Helena Ellis and Tenzin – ringing in the new year.

The historic building of this venue with its sandstone courtyard allows you to party both inside and outside with a variety of areas to suit your mood. Gather friends around high tables or chill out on lounges.

The Argyle Canteen serves up casual bites to eat – from pizza to Tex Mex, unique burgers and share plates with dessert options of crispy churros alongside homemade gelato – keeping your hunger at bay. When it comes to drinks, you're spoilt for choice with boutique beers, wonderful wines and cocktail concoctions from the bars.

Tickets for this event are now available with second release at $79 per person and third release at $89. There's also a Gold Luxe VIP Package for $300 that includes a private area, a bottle of Moet champagne, roving sushi and dessert canapés from 7-11pm.
