Whizz Bang Whoosh Sparkle
It's that whizz, bang, whoosh, crackle and sparkle time of year again - that would be New Years Eve Firework season to you and me.

It's time to dust of the sparklers, bring the pets indoors, put earmuffs on babies and head down to one of the many free firework displays up and down the beautiful Gold Coast.

From Ormeau to Coolangatta there are loads of wonderful displays - often accompanied by free entertainment, activities and performances - to make the last night of 2014, literally go out with a bang.

There are some new events and displays this year, so even more chance to catch New Year fireworks locally. Here are all the displays from the top to the bottom of the Coast:

Times: 8pm and Midnight
Where: Kurrawa Park and Pratten Park, Broadbeach

Grab a blanket, friends, family and some refreshments and settle in on the green and take in a fabulous display over the beach. There are two displays so you can catch the early one with kids and the later one in the midst of your new year celebrations.
