A highlight each year are the family friendly celebrations along the Newcastle Foreshore, which feature live music, a wide range of food and drink options, street performers and a fireworks spectacular at 9pm. Honeysuckle Hotel will be hosting a Roaring 20's New Year's Eve Party on the Hunter River. The party will feature Melbourne's best cover band Superband, and Newcastle's favourite CrocQ live from 6pm. See here for details. Price: $35 including a drink upon arrival. A VIP tickets costs $99 which includes a 3 hour canape and house drinks package and access to the VIP area. Guests can also add on a 3 hour cocktail package for $30 extra (plus booking fee on all prices).

Goldfish Roche Estate in the Hunter Valley will be hosting a 2020 New Year's Eve Great Gatsby Party, with delicious street food and live music. Dress up in the Great Gatsby era! Cost: $80 per person, which includes music and dinner. Buy your own drinks at the event.
The Crowne Plaza in the Hunter Valley will be celebrating New Year's Eve in style with an All That Glitters party. Dance the night away with friends and family to Uptown 5 piece band, with grazing food stations, cocktails, confetti, and of course, fireworks! See here for details. Broughtons at the Bay, at d'Albora Marinas at Nelson Bay, will be having a Masquerade Ball this New Year's Eve! Nelson Bay is 1 hour north of Newcastle. There will be champagne on arrival, canapes, dinner and dessert, as you watch the 9pm fireworks over the bay. There will also be live entertainment between 8.30pm -12.30am. See here for details. Lost Paradise is a music festival which will be held over 4 days between 28th December - 1st December at Glenworth Valley on the Central Coast, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Newcastle. There will be a huge line up of local and international artists, yoga, camping, music, food and art. See here for details.
