New Year's Eve Fireworks & Events in Canberra 2022/ 23

Are you getting excited about New Year's Eve? It will be a fantastic night in the city of Canberra, with family friendly fireworks, entertainment and lots of tasty food! Keep reading for what's on around the city, to ring in the new year of 2023...

New Year Celebrations & Fireworks will be happening around Lake Burley Griffin, with fireworks at 9pm and midnight. There will be food trucks, music, first aid, portable toilets, security and DJs at each hub area. Fireworks will be set off in the central and east basins of the lake. Molly Bar in the Civic will be having a Whisky Tasting event (for $75 per person), as well as a New Year's Eve Prohibition Party with a 5-piece jazz band on stage, for $20 per person cover charge to get in. This hidden bar is popular all year around and you find it by looking up the GPS co-ordinates of 35°16'44.5"S 149°07'42.0"E. This dark and stylish club is worth tracking down! See here for details.

Canberra Southern Cross Clubs will be having two NYE events to choose from around the Lake. Hop on board the MV Southern Cross and cruise Lake Burley Griffin, enjoying the view of the fireworks, a 5-course dinner and a premium beverage package for $250 per adult. Back on land, the Yacht Club is offering a special 5-course dinner to send out the old year and bring in 2023, at a cost of $195 per adult. See here for details.
