This is a list of events and dinners that have advertised early, however more events will be advertised closer to the time so check local free magazines, newspapers and advertising.
Other options include:
With so many people coming into the city for the concerts and fireworks, most restaurant's in the Civic will be open for dinner. Book in early to get a table at your favourite restaurant, then wander up to Civic Square to get the best view of the fireworks.
Perhaps enjoy fine dining at Waters Edge restaurant on Lake Burley Griffin or visit the local club, pub or bar closer to home to avoid transport issues.
For a quieter option, take a picnic blanket to the shores of Lake Burley Griffin and enjoy the 9pm and midnight fireworks with a picnic hamper. Popular locations include Regatta Point, Aspen Island under the National Carillon and Commonwealth Park. Just follow the other families and couples with picnic blankets slung over their shoulders!
