New to Canberra, I love exploring this city and the secrets that it holds with my family.
A family friendly, all ages way to ring in the new year
If you are looking for a family-friendly, all-ages way to celebrate the new year, then get your dancing shoes on and enjoy a traditional bush dance at Yarralumla Woolshed! No experience is necessary, all the dances are called and easy-to-understand, to the background of live music and fiddle. These fun bush dances, organised by the Monaro Folk Society, run all year round - however, New Year's Eve is one of the highlights.

As with traditional bush dances, please take a plate to share for supper. The dance will begin at 8pm and finish at 12:30am.

Entry $24, Groups and concessions $22, MFS members $19, Under 18s free. Full-time students are offered half-price entry to all bush dancing events, just show your student card.
