New Year's Eve 2013/14 @ Caloundra

There's a whole lot more than just fireworks happening at Caloundra this New Year's Eve . A fun filled afternoon and evening designed for families has been set up for Tuesday December 31. Kings Beach Amphiteatre is the last place you'll want to spend 2013 and the first place you'll want to be in 2014.


Hours of entertainment has been planned for the evening. The Camilleri Collective, Andrew Redford, Jess Bettega and Dave Shirtliff will all be performing throughout the night. There's also the chance to meet members of the Justice League and a community screening of animation favourite Madagascar 3 featuring the voices of Chris Rock and Ben Stiller.



Be sure to keep your eye on the sky as well - and not for the fireworks. Warbirds Sunshine Coast are bringing a very special present, a KAY 52 to showcase a low level aerobatic performance. You won't see that anywhere else on the Coast on New Year's Eve.


If you're not content with sitting down and just enjoying the entertainment, there are plenty of activities and rides to help burn off some energy. There's also going to be plenty of food and drink, face painting, and jumping castles.

And of course, what's New Year's without fireworks? There will be two shows - the first at 9.15pm on the foreshore and the big bang at 12midnight. If you've got kids Caloundra may just be the place to be this NYE.
