If you’re after a family-friendly New Year's Eve event, then look no further than the racecourse at Warwick Farm in Sydney’s south-west. It’s full of entertainment, activities, market stalls, food and fireworks.


On the main stage, you have a program of live acts that will have you dancing the night away. They include Mel.Wav, Timba, Groove Collective, True Vibe Nation & more during the course of the evening, as well as DJ’s spinning tunes.

In the thrills zone, there are carnival rides and entertainment that includes dodgem cars, Tractor Run, Lady Bug, Motorbike, Whirl Wind, Bluey and Paw Patrol, amongst others. A single-ride ticket will cost you $3, whilst $5 gets you two tickets and $20 gets you eight tickets. Dodgems will be $5 per person. Children can also enjoy some free activities, such as a silent disco, table sports games, a crafting zone, face painting, DJ music and roving ballerinas.


When you’re hungry or thirsty, you’ll find there are plenty of savoury and sweet treats to indulge in with Mad Macks Grill burgers, Sneaky Buff Taiwanese fried chicken, Mr Kernal Food Bar & Chip on a Stick, Dapto’s Hotdogs, Wrap n Roll, Haus of Asia, Authentic Turkish Gozleme, Spanish churros, Kozmik Sweetz, Sweet Spot with ice cream & coffee, Glow Fairy Floss, Get Frozen slushies, Juice Bros, OMG! Decadent Donuts and more, to tickle your fancy. An in-house licensed bar will have alcohol available to purchase for those 18yrs & over.


If some shopping is what you’re after, then browse the market stalls selling a range of products. Vendors include Tracy Pots & Gifts (with printed tumblers, stationery, key chains & car diffusers), Let's Have Fun (for customised accessories & clothing with a selection of iron-on patches), Cartoon Kingdom (for live caricatures and customised illustrations), Trendy Toys (with light-up toys), Graceful3D (for 3D printed toys & collectables), Aunty’s Ginger Tonic (for organic beverages) and Young B Entertainment (with character-themed showbags including confectionery goods).

A firework spectacular at 9pm rounds out this celebration.

Getting there:

By car - limited parking is available at the racecourse via Gate C (access from Hume Hwy or via Governor Macquarie Drv)
By free shuttle from train stations - departing Warwick St, Warwick Farm & College St, Liverpool on rotation every 20-30mins from 4pm-7.45pm; final return shuttle departs the racecourse at 10.30pm; parking is available at the Commuter Parking, Warwick Farm Station (free parking for 18hrs with an Opal card) and at Warren Service Way, Liverpool (free & unrestricted)
By foot - the racecourse is an approximate 16-minute walk from Warwick Farm station, along the Hume Hwy; note there is no pedestrian access on Governor Macquarie Drv
