In anticipation for Baz Lurhman's remake of The Great Gatsby, this New Years Eve, Silk Road on Collins street will be holding a 1920s, Gatsby styled soiree.

The popular venue will transform it's three levels into the magnificence of Jay Gatsby's mansion. Patrons should wear their sharpest suits, as this is strictly a black tie event.


Silk Road aims to bring the era to life, with live music of the time and pop-up entertainment. The only difference being that the alcohol will be legal.

Tickets start from $140.00. This includes house wine, beer, spirits, cocktails and canapes. However the gold package, from $220.00 provides a premium selection of drinks.

It's not essential to purchase a ticket, but they do guarantee access to private suites and areas, inclusive alcohol and lockout at 4am. Tickets can be purchased here and are non-refundable or transferable.
