Now you really can party like it's 1999 this Hogmanay . Avoid the crowds in The Valley and celebrate New Year's Eve at Morningside's hippest bar, Southside Tea Room, run by John and Patience from The Grates. They will be counting down with the top 100 tracks from 1999.



With kitsch retro decor and quirky entertainment, it has all the ingredients to be a fun and memorable way to bring in the New Year. The fridge is well stocked with a range of bottled beers and XXXX cans. Alternatively you could try a beer from the old-style keg or try one of the kitsch cocktails served in vintage glassware. There are plenty of fast food restaurants and the fantastic Curryville Indian Restaurant on the same road if you want to grab an early bite to eat first.
