Lighting up the night skies to welcome in 2018

Toast your glasses, say goodbye to 2017 and welcome in 2018 with a bang while enjoying Brisbane's New Year's Eve fireworks display. The skies of Brisbane will once again be alight with colour for the traditional New Year's Eve fireworks display along the Brisbane River.

The night will feature two separate displays - one at 8:30pm, (traditionally for the kids) and the main display just before midnight. Each display last for 10 minutes.

The best places to view the awe-inspiring display are:

Southbank parklands;
The Story Bridge;
Mount Cootha lookout;
Kangaroo Point cliffs parkland; and
the wide selection of Riverside restaurants and cafes.

For something a little bit different and away from the crowds, why not hire a private gondola on the Wheel of Brisbane. Prices range from $149 for the early display and $249 for the midnight fireworks.
