New Shoots is an annual group exhibition showcasing the creative talents of members of U3A Melbourne City, Australia's first University of the Third Age.
This year's event will be staged in Collins Place and feature stunning works by 25 talented photographers, including former students of U3A Melbourne City's digital photography courses.
There will be a wide range of photography genres and styles on show including street, landscape, portrait, macro, still life and garden.
"This event demonstrates how the U3A learning environment encourages our members to explore their creative aspirations, providing an opportunity to display their works in public" said U3A Melbourne City President, Pamela Davies.
"The exhibition forms part of our contribution to the Seniors Festival in October 2017, the theme of which is 'It's your time …'"
This year, photographs will be displayed as mounted prints without framing. This will suit the Gallery space, emphasise the beauty created by the photographers' skill and artistry, and reduce the cost to exhibitors.
All are welcome to view this FREE exhibition from Tuesday 17th October to Sunday 5th November 2017. It will be open 10.00am - 6.00pm daily.
U3A Melbourne City is a self-help, voluntary, not-for-profit organisation, which provides learning opportunities to members. It is part of the worldwide network of Universities of the Third Age (U3A).
