I have recently moved to Brisbane after seven years in London. I am loving exploring the city, beaches and nearby National Parks.

Come and see nature's stunning display
The days are getting longer and hotter, spring is well and truly under way in Brisbane. Make the most of the glorious spring weather with a trip to view the blooming jacaranda trees at New Farm Park.
New Farm Park is a popular park just out of Brisbane's CBD, around 18,000 people visit each week to picnic, play, exercise or just relax. From late September to mid October the park is a sea of purple as the jacarandas come into flower.
The park covers 18 hectares and is well equipped with BBQ facilities, toilets and a playground for the kids. There is always something happening here with boot camps, artists painting and maybe even a wedding in the pretty rotunda.
The rotunda is a popular place for weddings in spring
The Methyr Village is a short walk away. Here there is a Coles and one of the best Deli's in Brisbane, the New Farm Deli and Cafe. Grab some tasty Italian treats to take back to the park. This is a wonderful place for a picnic at this time of year and best of all mother nature's stunning display is free.
