Early in 2013, the New England Brewing Co. began brewing big flavoured craft beers in the small but interesting town of Uralla. The flying ram logo is a nod to the building's former life as a wool store as well as the importance of wool to the regional economy.



The preservative-free unfiltered beers are brewed using 35 year old equipment purchased from Bridge Road Brewers in Beechworth Victoria. They pride themselves on using local ingredients such as malt from Tamworth, Australian hops and local honey and spices.



Eight beers are on tap and they also sell takeaway bottles and cans. Apart from the (available all year) standards , they also have some seasonal products. These can be purchased online as well as at various outlets throughout NSW and QLD.



The friendly bar is a quirky relaxing space where you can play board games or pull up a window stool to watch the main street "traffic". They do not sell food, other than a selection of snacks and nibbles and for the non-beer drinker, there is wine, cider and local ginger beer. Make sure you contact the guys if you want to bring a large group or would like a behind the scenes brewery tour.
