I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.
Nepean Rowing Club, aka The Rowers, is situated above the Nepean River on the northern side of High Street Penrith and is a convenient place to drop in to for something to eat or drink when doing the Great River Walk.
The bistro Paddles is operated by the Maze catering group and is open for lunch and dinner on weekdays and includes a breakfast service on weekends. There is a seating capacity of 200 either inside or on the covereed deck and the menu caters for a wide variety of tastes and dietary requirements.
Lunchtime specials for $13-$16 are great value and club members receive discounts off the main menu items. Dinner specials are also offered such as $15 steak on Wednesday and $15 Parmy Thursday. The club has very friendly staff and welcoming, relaxing atmosphere. Entertainment options are varied, including raffles, bingo, line dancing, live music, poker machines and large screen televisions. There is a large outdoor free parking area and disabled access is via a ramp, with the interior of the club being on one level.
