A Hidden Alex Gem with Activities for All Ages
This spacious family park is a well-kept local secret only one block back from Alex Beach with the skate-park, surf club and friendly cafes. There are ducks, swans, swamp hens, cormorants drying their wings and bird life galore.

Lily Pond Statue

It is ideal for family celebrations with a huge duck pond, a safe enclosed playground with covered tables and free barbecues, amenities and a flourishing community vegetable garden. There is plenty of grass to kick a ball, play cricket, do push ups or yoga or just sit and chat on one of the many benches. The pathways invite one to stroll or cycle, or take the short forest walk at the end of Mari Street.
Playground and Picnic Area

Children of all ages play, party, picnic, run about exploring and laughing. If the teens need more distraction they can chose to go skating, surfing or bowling, while their parents can socialize knowing that everyone is catered for and the toddlers are safely fenced in.
Nelson Park

Early mornings see a few personal trainers putting parents through their paces while the kids enjoy the playground. The covered barbecues and picnic tables ensure that rain wont spoil your day. Katoa Street has a specific car park convenient to unload picnic gear and bikes with additional parking at either end in Mari St and Okinja Streets, the ten pin bowling alley is directly behind. Everyone can find something of interest here.
