There are many things you can do at the park such as bike riding, walking your dog (remaining on the lead), trying out the playground (who said you can't have fun at 20?), or just sit back, relax and soak up the glorious atmosphere.
Even still with all these delightful options upon you, by far the most fun to be had is from feeding the birds. Make sure you've brought at least one packet of bird seed with you, hold out each hand with an open palm full of seedy goodness, and only then can you proudly reenact a poor man's Brandon Lee….with (mostly) pigeons.
Other attractions at Neil Hawkins Park include; a simply mesmerising view of Lake Joondalup, BBQ facilities, incredibly convenient patches of shade, coffee/ice cream vans on the weekends, and if you come early enough, you may see a kangaroo or two along with the rest of the beautiful wildlife, riddled throughout the park.
If you ever feel like going to a park, and want too be more adventurous than taking a stroll to the one down the road, come to Neil Hawkins. With a park that has such rich cultural history and beauty, there is no substitute.
