is located on the main street in CBD, where you need to walk down a few stairs from the ground level before you can enter the restaurant.
This underground restaurant is slightly cramped but they serve authentic Japanese food at a reasonable price. I have been there a few times and their food quality is consistent. With dark wooden tables and chairs in the area filled with dim lighting, all these arrangements convey a feeling of intimacy and a touch of sophistication. Adding to this, a few Japanese-style paintings are hanging on the walls and Japanese music is always playing in the background. All these give me a feel of Japan.
I am always a big fan of sushi and sashimi, however, on a recent revisit when the weather was bitterly cold, a hot dish was my preferred option. As beef is also popular in Japanese cuisine, I ordered the dish with thinly sliced beef, onion and egg on rice for my dinner that night. There was nothing better than having a small bottle of hot sake in the winter time to complement the meal. The beef were well cooked; tender and delicious.
At around 9.30 pm, a friendly waitress asked me if I would like to order any dessert as it's the time for placing the last order. It was a pity that I didn't have much room for a dessert as my stomach was pretty full. However, if you are a sweet tooth, make sure you try out their desserts as the shop offers a fairly good selection of ice cream in a variety of flavours.
Good food, good ambience and friendly service are what I like about this restaurant. Go check out to enjoy an authentic and delicious Japanese dining experience.
