A new gallery exhibition to celebrate the wonders of Moreton Bay is opening this month in the St Baker Studio in Redcliffe. With a diverse range of artists, each has drawn inspiration from the Bay through paintings, prints, photographs and sculpture. It is an exciting and creative exploration of Brisbane's bayside and showcases the artists passion not only for the Bay but also for the surrounding islands and landscape, the marine environment and the cultural significance of the region.

One artist, Jen Conde, says "Art is an attempt to explain our place in the world and painting and sculpture are two mediums I use to explore concepts of the sea, nature, spirit and my own place within". Origami artist, Gill Pyke has a few framed pieces including a tessellated sea turtle and a 'steam-punked' giant squid.

On opening day, guest speaker Adam Lewczuk, Artists and Community Animator and Culture Maker will speak about how these 12 artists have captured their responses to life on the water at Moreton Bay. Guests are invited on this day to join the artists and hosts on the Bay at beautiful Mon Komo Hotel, Redcliffe.

The Artists: Jenny Sanzaro Nishimura, Jo St Baker, Jen Conde, Cameron Eaton, Gill Pike, Timothy Wallace, Pat Zuber, Margie MacAdams, Nicolette Kelly, Nicole Condon, Amanda Page and Jennifer Stuerzl.
