This is Jubly-Umph's first solo show and her exhibition will feature over 20 original ink paintings complimented with art prints and a range of Nautical Curiosities limited edition jewellery. Combining her love of the sea with mythical creatures, shipwrecks and sailors she's created a collection of characters that are lost at sea, watching the horizon or saluting the Teardrop (Fastnet lighthouse) as they leave for foreign shores. Jubly-Umph a Melbourne artist who paints in watercolours and Indian ink is well known for her art that is influenced by traditional tattoos, folk art and Victorian sentimental ephemera and her limited edition jewellery collections.
This exhibition will also have limited edition statement necklaces.
Since 2009 Juby-Umph jewellery and artwork has become accessible and collectable and has been featured in quite a few publications like the magazine Frankie, Shop Til You Drop, Linked Au, Solitude, Post Modern Ink, Vintage Caravan Mag and on the hit TV show Winners & Losers with the actors wearing her pieces. You can also purchase items online from her website.
