Start hugging trees early to live your best life

Brisbane's Barbara Syassen has now authored four wonderful books designed to help children develop a positive, lifelong bond with nature and an understanding of the beauty that surrounds us all.

Internationally recognized with a positive reviewed by the US Review of Books these and a gold star for literary excellence from Trafford Publishing Barbara has created a literature world for kids to guide them as they seek to achieve a higher self, greater self-expression and enough self-confidence to follow their dreams.

The four magnificent children's nature and meditation books produced to date are:

The Shining Stars
A book about Annabella, Zygamore, Sapphire and Lewis who visit a homeless animal shelter to feed the animals. Then, when they go camping the Shining Stars appear and give them praise for their kindness to the homeless animals: $15.00

The Happy Rainbow
Annabella and Zygamore draw an unhappy rainbow to discover that by using bright, positive colours and pictures they help the rainbow to become happy: $15.00

Cheeney The Friendly Dolphin
Annabella's dreams of going for a ride with the friendly dolphin, Cheeney come true: $15.00

The Tree That Talks
Annabella spends time in the park visiting her favourite tree especially when she is sad. The tree talks to Annabella and imparts a message about being happy and living in the moment: $15.00

Barbara uses her books to help children develop a lifelong link to their natural surroundings and an ability to see nature as a safe space to go and retreat, relax, recharge and reconnect. A self-confessed tree hugger and fun lover Barbara found the magic of the natural environment growing up in Papua New Guinea. As she roamed the coastal land around her village she developed her own self-assurance and confidence that became the foundations of her dream to create a world where kids connect with and self-develop through nature.

In addition to her books, Barbara spends her time working within Disability Support and teaching children the life-supporting skills associated with yoga, meditation and connecting with nature. As kids are now operating iPads even before they're walking Barbara sees it as vital that we teach them to connect with nature.

All of Barbara's books are directed towards imparting an understanding of a beautiful and natural life through special messages telling young readers the positives available from acts of kindness, staying present in the moment, positive thinking, meditation, prayer, creative visualisation and, of course, the importance of enjoying the natural gifts of mother earth.

Barbara donates her books internationally to UNICEF, Australian schools, Nepal, the Pacific, and Papua New Guinea (Barbara's native country). She continues this philanthropy through donations to charities and educational organisations worldwide.

And, if this isn't enough, Barbara holds regular yoga classes and mindfulness book readings for children encouraging them to connect with nature. She also volunteers monthly at organisations helping children in disadvantaged communities, co-ordinates vegan market events and donates books, funds and time to causes close to her heart.

If you would like to give your children an understanding of the philosophies and beliefs of the benefits of a love of nature, fun, kindness and staying present in the moment then Barbara Syassen's Nature and Meditation Books are an excellent start.
