Discover magic in every moment
The Chinese Garden of Friendship is set to become even more beautiful when it brightens up evenings in an enchanting new event named Nature Illuminated. This Darling Harbour attraction will provide some magical moments with its mix of nature and light in a botanical extravaganza like no other.

With over 200 light activations, you'll be immersed in a spectacle where the seasons change in the blink of an eye and you might even discover some forest sprites (aka fairy-like creatures) deep within the foliage as you wander through the garden.

Roam this haven of natural beauty with cocktail in hand, accompanied by the sweet sounds of music coming from the violins and cellos of a live string quartet. Rejoice in the serenity that nature brings, you'll feel a million miles away from the city.

Cutting-edge Augmented Reality technology and theatrical lighting enhance the experience as you embark on a treasure hunt, interacting with your surroundings to find plants and animals for a reward.

Snacks and drinks will be available to visitors via cash bars within the venue. A dining option at The Gardens by Lotus, the teahouse-style space within the garden, is also on offer with a selection of Chinese cuisine to fill your belly with before you start exploring. The 90-minute, 8-course feast has 3 banquet options to choose from (meat, vegan and pescatarian). The meat option includes the likes of Pacific oysters, salmon sashimi, Jade prawn dumplings, pork, duck pancake, beef short ribs and more, accompanied with rice and veggies, plus dessert. Click here for each option's full menu.

Session times and prices for this event vary, with family passes providing the best value. You can choose from Standard Access (for entry), VIP Access (entry & a themed cocktail on arrival) or Dining Access (entry & banquet, minimum of 2 people). All tickets need to be purchased online. You can save $25 with the use of an NSW Discover voucher, just apply your voucher code during the checkout process (note - this is only for access without alcohol).

If this event is of interest to you, be sure to get in quick (tickets are selling fast) so that you may step into this tranquil sanctuary reflecting a colourful story of nature's four seasons. It will have you mesmerised.

Sounds lovely but $50 just to get in is exorbitant. This isn't cutting edge technology any more.
